ALLEN Greats & Grands - Family Tree

This is a long page filled with images and facts that
tell a story going back to Adora and Shiloh's
10 X Great Grandparents.  That's a lot of 'greats'!

To simplify things, all you have to do is click on
the first image of the chart above and it will open up full size.
From there you can just use the scroll wheel on your mouse to
slide through everything here.  Each image is labelled and the
name plates will tell you when you're going back another
generation.  We're working backwards in time starting
with Bill Sparrow's grandfather, Jesse Allen and moving
all the way back to 1670.
(Jesse Allen and his father Henry Allen have their own separate
pages--links  below or on the right sidebar).

Working our way back in time............

Jesse has a page of his own
which can be seen HERE

Henry Allen's page is HERE

Going back one more generation..........

On the census above it indicates William is
working at Milton House in Great Milton, Oxfordshire. The building
is still there today and is a Michelin Star restaurant.

 1841
William convicted for larceny and
sentenced to two months

 1843
Marriage to Elizabeth More

And now we go back another generation
to William Allen, the Great Grandfather who was
convicted for sheep stealing and
transported to Australia.....

William Allen was given a conditional pardon which meant
that while he was no longer a prisoner, he was unable
to return to England.  He lived the rest of
his life in Australia.

To my astonishment I found an account by the ship
surgeon of the very voyage that took William Allen
to Australia....

And now back into the 18th century Allens.......

Stepping further back into the 18th Century...
